About Us

Jane Ann Maxwell is a professional interior designer based in the Charlotte, NC metro area with some 20 years of interior design experience.  

She is the past President of the Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP) Charlotte Chapter.  She served on the planning committee of the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) Charlotte Chapter.  She also acted as the co-chair of the WCAA March 2009 Vendor Event.

Ms Maxwell is involved in community affairs and was recently asked to spearhead the redesign of the recreation room of the Fort Mill, SC National Guard Armory, as a welcome home surprise for the troops currently serving abroad. This space will also be used by the families of the men and women deployed, as a meeting space while they are gone.

At Maxwell House of Design we believe that each person has a unique sense of what pleases them and makes them feel comfortable. It's our  job to discern what the client enjoys, and then implement a plan to achieve just that. The design experience should be a collaborative effort that ultimately makes the client feel more at home, than before the process began. We have done a great job if you receive a comment like, "This home looks just like you!"
